A Geographical Visual Display of your Contact Database

Updated over a week ago

In order to get the most out of your Maps page, it is important that you have an understanding on how to fully read your map, including the following:

Navigating your Map

Your primary method of navigating your Map is via your mouse. You can do this by:

  • Left-clicking, and holding, allows you to grab the map, and drag it

  • If your mouse has a wheel, you may use this to zoom in, and out. Alternatively, you may use the Zoom icons on the map:

  • You may also use the arrows on your keyboard to scroll

Your Map View

Two different Map styles are available for your Map, to provide the experience that you require.

Standard Map View:

Hybrid Map View:

You may find that different views work better in different scenarios, or in different locations; urban vs. rural for example.

Try out the differing options, and see which best suits your needs - you can be certain that your data will show up in the exact same way on each display option.

Icons on your Map

Houses Icons

Each House in your Contact Database is located on on your Map.

They are represented by house icon. The houses on the map will reflect whether or not they have been interacted with. For example:

The green house icon is a house where the interaction status is "Answered"

The red house icon is a house where the interaction status is "Not interested"

A grey house icon is a house that has not yet been interacted with.

NB - The color of the House Icon relates to the color that you have set up for each of the Interaction status.

List Icons

Your Lists are visible on your Map. These are Lists that were drawn (or cut) within the Map tab and based primarily on geographic location.

Blue List: Indicates a list where interactions are still ongoing and the status of the list is "In Progress"

Green List: Represents a list that you have marked as "COMPLETED" and the list is no longer accessible via the mobile app

Purple List: Is the List that is currently selected and you can make changes on the left-hand side.

Clustering

You may find yourself managing a large Contact Database, particularly as your activity develops. This can be cumbersome to display every individual house in your Contact Database onscreen at one time.

For example, the image below represents higher concentrated areas, depending on your contact size:

In instances such as this, the Clustering function provides a much more advantageous view and will assist in the speeding up load times:

As you Zoom in, the Clustering function will continue to de-cluster houses, based upon what is visually appropriate for the level of data to be displayed - right down to street level, where individual Houses will be shown:
