Receiving an invite to join an Ecanvasser account

You can be invited to join an Ecanvasser account through your email address or through your mobile phone device.

Below are samples of email and text invitations.

Simply click the Sign-Up button (email) or link (text) to commence your Sign-Up process:

Downloading the Ecanvasser Walk App

The Ecanvasser Walk mobile app is available to download from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app is free to download.

On Your First Log In

Once you have successfully downloaded and installed the mobile app, you will be prompted to complete your profile information including Name & password:

Selecting an Account 

Next, you will be prompted to select the account that you wish to access.

For most users, there will only be one account however some users may be on several accounts so you need to ensure that you select the correct account:

When you click START, the account information will begin to sync to your device:

Selecting a Campaign Effort

Next up, you may be prompted to select the relevant Campaign Effort.

If there is only one active effort, then this step will be skipped:

Access to your Location Data

Your GPS data may be tracked while you are using the mobile app in order to track the location of where an interaction is recorded and to help find houses that are closest to you. For complete transparency and compliance with Data Protection regulations, we never track your location data unless you allow us to do so.

When you first log in, you will be prompted to review and determine the Location Access level. The location Access levels that are available to you are:

  • Never allow access to your location data

  • Ask next time or when I share

  • Only allow access when using the app

  • Always allow access

Whether you are an Android or iOS user, you will be prompted with these options and will be prompted regularly to confirm your location access settings.

How to get the most out of your Ecanvasser App

  • Become confident in using the mobile app before you go live, it shouldn’t take too long, and you can be certain to ensure no information is lost!

  • Make sure that your battery is fully charged prior to starting.

  • Consider bringing a portable charger (particularly if you are a Lead Organizer)

Frequently Asked Questions  

  • Does it work Offline?
    Yes, the app will work offline. We do recommend performing a manual sync once you have regained connection to ensure all data updates within the dashboard. 

  • Why can't I see my data?
    It is possible you don't yet have a list assigned to you yet.
    If a user of any permission level has not been assigned to a list then contact data will not appear.
    When a list or lists have been assigned and you still can't see any data, check if you have a filter applied. Clearing your filters usually rectifies this issue. 

    You also should check if Auto-sync is enabled. Click on the settings option on the bottom menu and toggle the Auto Sync option to ensure your data is sync to and from your app in real time:
