How to generate your API key
Each API key is specific to an Ecanvasser account, not an individual user.
Before you get started, you will need to contact support@ecanvasser.com to enable the Public API feature within your Ecanvasser account.
Once this has been enabled on your account, click the Account Settings
Then. select Public API:
Next. click on the Generate API key button.
This will open a dialogue box that contains your newly generated API access token.
Click on COPY ACCESS TOKEN which will copy the access token to your clipboard, which you can forward to your developers to use in your chosen application.Please note:
For security purposes, we will not display the API key again once you have generated the key, therefore you must copy the key at this stage otherwise, you will need to revoke the key and generate a new key.
How to revoke your API key
Revoking your API key will deactivate the API key and will not create a new key.
API calls using the revoked Ecanvasser API key will fail and any application using the key will no longer be able to access your information.
To revoke your API key:
In your Ecanvasser account, click on Account Settings
Next, select Public API
Then, click on the Revoke button
Once you have revoked the API Key, the option to generate a new key is available if required.
