Surveys are an important part of managing your campaign and help you gather valuable feedback from your contacts.

Preparation: Create a Survey in NationBuilder
Before importing a survey into Ecanvasser, you must first create a Survey action page within your NationBuilder nation.
Step 1: Log into the NationBuilder Integration
Go to the Ecanvasser dashboard.
Navigate to the "Integration" tab and select the NationBuilder integration.
Make sure you see the green "Logged In" confirmation. If not, log in using your NationBuilder credentials.
Step 2: Import Your NationBuilder Survey
In the Ecanvasser dashboard, go to the "Survey" page.
Click on "IMPORT NATIONBUILDER SURVEYS".
You will now see a list of all your surveys from NationBuilder.
Icons and Indicators:
# Hashtag icon: This survey originated in NationBuilder.
Orange triangle: The survey has no questions and cannot be published.
Status:
Published: Available to mobile app users (either to all or to assigned teams).
Unpublished: Hidden from mobile users—ideal for drafts or editing.
Step 3: Assign the Survey to a Team
Click on "No Team Assigned" to assign the survey to a specific team.
Step 4: Review Survey Analytics
You can view and analyze responses from your imported NationBuilder surveys directly within Ecanvasser.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Signature Collection:
Signature collection is not supported for NationBuilder surveys in Ecanvasser.Response Syncing:
Only responses to NB surveys collected within Ecanvasser are synced back to your NationBuilder nation.Editing Limitations:
Create, edit, and delete surveys only within NationBuilder to maintain proper syncing.
Do not use the Edit or + New Question options in Ecanvasser, as changes made there will not sync with NationBuilder and may break integration.
Survey Answer Page Requirement:
Your survey in NationBuilder must include an answer page for it to be imported successfully into Ecanvasser.
