Understanding Views

Before you get started with recording your interactions, we strongly recommend that you become familiar with the various "View" option that are available, so that you can decide what view works best for you.

A view is either a list or geographical visualization of houses or contacts.

There are five main View options. You can view by:

Your Map View

In the Map View, you will see all the houses assigned to you.

Use the filter options to sort by distance, name or interaction status.

Grey house pins indicate houses that have not yet been interacted with.

The color coding of the house pins on the map will depend on how the Interaction Statuses (Answered, Call Back etc) have been configured within your Ecanvasser account.

Click on the i icon on the top right of the map screen to understand what each Interaction. Here is an example of what this may look like:

You can zoom in and zoom out using the two finger action.

When you select a house pin, it will change to yellow and mini dialog

will appear with the house details (address, distance, number of occupants in the house).

Click on the three dots (highlighted below) to either quickly record an interaction status (for example Not Interested) or click the i icon to open the full view of the house that will have the following key options:

  • Edit House

  • Delete House

  • Add Contact

  • Record an Interaction

  • Record a House Note

Your Houses View

The Houses View is quite simply that - a view of the houses assigned to you.

Use the filter options to sort by distance, name or interaction status.

To start recording an interaction, simply click on the house address.

Clicking on the three dots next to a house with give you the option to either quickly record an interaction status (for example - Not Interested)

or click the i icon to open the full view of the house.

Your Streets View

The Streets View is a good view of streets with a number of key data points that you may find useful, including:

  • the distance each street is based on your current location

  • a count of houses on each street

  • counts of houses broken down by each Interaction status (again use the i icon on the top right of the screen to understand the color coding system and meaning of each Interaction status)

Click on the Street that you intend to visit, this will give you a complete list of houses on that street.

Your Lists View

The Lists View is a view of houses and contacts that are assigned to you and your team with a number of key data points that you may find useful, including:

  • a count of houses on each list

  • counts of houses broken down by each Interaction status (again use the i icon on the top right of the screen to understand the color coding system and meaning of each Interaction status)

Click on the List that you intend to start, this will give you a complete list of houses or contacts on that list.

  • to switch between house or contact view click on the 3 dots in the top right of your screen while in the list.

Your Contacts View

The Contacts View is how you can see a list of contacts assigned to you.

This is very similar to the Houses View, except each and every contact will be displayed in the Contacts View, whereas each House is displayed in the Houses View.

As with all the previous View options, you can make use of the filter options to sort by distance, name or interaction status.
