How to Use Interaction Reports

Visualize, measure, and act on outreach activity in Ecanvasser

Updated over 3 months ago

Interaction Reports in Ecanvasser help you understand and optimize the performance of your outreach—whether it’s door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, or digital follow-ups. From logged outcomes to team activity, these reports are your go-to tool for making smarter decisions and improving campaign results.

🧭 Where to Find Interaction Reports

You can access Interaction Reports from within your Ecanvasser platform:

  1. Go to the Dashboards tab in the sidebar navigation.

  2. Click New Report.

  3. Choose your preferred visualization type (e.g., bar chart, table, pie chart).

  4. Select Interactions as your data source.

  5. Apply filters to customize the report (e.g., date range, user/team, list, effort).

  6. Click Save to store your custom report.

📂 What’s Included in the Interaction Report

Your report will display key metrics depending on the visualization type selected, including:

  • Total interactions logged during your chosen time period

  • Breakdown by outcome (e.g., Interested, Declined, Not Home)

  • Interactions per team member or user

  • Custom field tag analysis, such as issue categories or interest areas

  • Support level progression, if tracked in custom fields

These metrics give you a detailed picture of outreach performance and engagement levels.

🧩 Using Filters to Drill Down

Tailor your reports using filters to extract exactly the insights you need:

  • Date range (e.g., today, last 30 days, campaign to date)

  • Interaction type (e.g., phone, face-to-face, email)

  • Logged outcome or custom field tags (e.g., contacts marked as “Interested in this service”)

  • User or team filters to evaluate individual or group contributions

Filtering enables you to identify patterns, compare performance, and focus your strategy on what works.

📈 Interpreting Key Metrics

Keep an eye on the data to guide strategic improvements:

  • High volume, low-quality outcomes? You may need to revisit your Talking Point scripts or targeting strategy.

  • Are certain team members underlogging? Consider reviewing training or app usage practices.

  • Seeing lots of "Follow-up required"? Use that data to create Dynamic Smart Lists and plan re-engagement efforts.

🔁 Using Reports to Optimise Your Workflow

Turn insights into action:

  • Create Dynamic Smart Lists based on logged interaction outcomes.

  • Reassign teams or refine goals based on observed trends.

  • Update Talking Point scripts where outcomes show poor engagement.

  • Schedule automated follow-ups or task reminders from insights in your report.

Interaction Reports are more than metrics—they’re an engine for workflow improvement.

🧮 Downloading and Exporting Reports

Need to share or analyze your data elsewhere?

  • Click Actions > Export at the top of the report to download a CSV.

  • Apply filters beforehand to export only the data you need.

  • Download a specific visualization by clicking the three dots and choosing Download.
