User Activity Log Management

How to easily monitor and manage team activity in the field

Updated over 3 months ago

Monitoring team activity is key to ensuring your outreach strategy is working on the ground. Ecanvasser makes it easy to track how individual team members are engaging in the field—what they’re doing, where they’re doing it, and how effectively.

This guide shows you how to access user-specific dashboards and manage activity logs across your team.

Where to Find User Activity

  1. Go to the Users and Teams page in the sidebar.

  2. Click on the name of an individual user.

  3. This opens a dedicated dashboard for that team member.

From here, you’ll get a detailed overview of their field performance and history.

What You Can See on the User Dashboard

Each user dashboard includes:

  • Activity Feed – A timeline of recent actions such as interactions logged, app usage, and territory visits

  • Headline Stats – Total completed interactions and overall conversion rate

  • Interactions Over Time – Visual trend of how many interactions were logged across a date range

  • Assigned Territory Activity – View outcomes and success rates for the lists or areas assigned to this user

  • Field Tracking Report – Location-based tracking of canvassing movements, including start/end points and GPS pins for interactions

This dashboard enables easy assessment of performance and identification of any gaps in execution or coverage.

How to Use This Data Effectively

✅ Monitor Productivity and Engagement

  • See who is logging high-quality interactions consistently

  • Identify inactive users or those falling behind on assignments

  • Compare trends in activity across weeks or campaigns

📍 Track Coverage and Movement

  • Understand how much of a list or area has been physically visited

  • Detect missed locations or irregular coverage patterns

  • Use GPS data to ensure canvassing is happening in the correct areas

📝 Evaluate Data Quality

  • Look at the richness of notes, use of Talking Point scripts, and selected outcomes.

  • Spot patterns that suggest guesswork or minimal engagement

  • Validate that outcomes and tags align with campaign goals

Managing Performance in Real-Time

  • Reassign lists or adjust workloads based on data.

  • Provide feedback or coaching to users directly from recent activity insight.s

  • Follow up on low conversion rates or inconsistent logging behaviour.

Optimise with Accountability

The user-level activity dashboard is a powerful tool for transparency and team growth. Use it to:

  • Benchmark performance

  • Build a coaching culture

  • Improve campaign outcomes by focusing efforts where they’re most needed.

Pro Tips

  • Regularly check each user dashboard to stay ahead of performance issues

  • Use this data for weekly check-ins, recognition, or retraining moments

  • Pair Field Tracking Reports with interaction results to understand both presence and effectiveness
