How to assign lists & manage territories

Create lists and assigning them to a user or team

Once you have your contact database imported and your team members invited, it is time to assign lists to users and begin your campaign. This article will assist you in ensuring you get your contacts assigned to users in the field.

How to assign lists?

Once you have your members invited and they have their Walk app downloaded

How to create a team

When you create a list you have the option to assign it to a user or a Team

Assigning to a user means the list goes to just the chosen member and assigning to a team means all members of the chosen team have access to the assigned list.

From your Users & Teams tab, you can assemble your members into teams.

To create a new team:

  1. Select the + CREATE TEAM option

  2. Enter a name for your new team

  3. Add members to the team

  4. Choose a color for the team

  5. When you're finished, click SAVE and your team will be created!

How to Create a List

Once you have used the Search and Filter functions to identify a segment:

  1. Segment Contacts using the Filter

  2. Select either the individual records or all contacts.

  3. Click +ADD TO LIST option which will open a window

  4. From here, you can either click on the Search Lists to add the selected contacts to an existing list; or

  5. Click the CREATE LIST option which will open a secondary window where you can input the List name along with an option to assign the list to a user or team.

  6. If you decide to not assign the list to a user or team the list will still be created and can be assigned later.

You will now have the option to have a Dynamic or Static list.

A dynamic list retains the exact filter criteria that were in place when the list was created. As contacts are added, updated, or removed in your database with attributes that match the filter criteria of the dynamic list, these prospects will automatically be added or removed from the list.

A static list consists of contacts that you have built once. which you will need to edit manually to make any further changes.

If you select a static list you can choose to auto-split and assign the list to your team.

Auto-splitting a list allows you to assign an even amount of contacts across the members of your team. This ensures that organizers do not interact with the same contacts multiple times and also that every organizer is assigned an equal number of contacts where possible.
